1. Participants
Current university students worldwide.
2. Requirements on works
Participants can create games based on their own interests. In order to present the game perfectly, they need to submit PPT, video and playable demo.
3. Registration
(1) Participants can views the rules on the official website or through mini program of Tencent Institute of Game, download relevant material on the official website and submit work via email as required.
(2) Team leaders should be responsible for registration, with a maximum of 5 people per team.
4. Participation rules
(1) Participants must provide authentic information when registering and submitting works. Information provided are confidential and will only be used for competition evaluation and award.
(2) The game must be an original work made by participants. Participants need to own the complete and independent intellectual property rights of the work, and need to have the right to use the work to participate in this event.
(3) The game should be an unpublished work. It should not have been published on any other platform yet.
(4) Participants shall take all legal responsibilities (including but not limited to legal issues caused by infringing on the copyrights of others). Participants shall take full responsibility if any losses to Tencent or other related parties encountered.
(5) The committee deal with report on plagiarism via TIG_UR@tencent.com.
5. Copyright Statement
(1) Participants who register and upload game works through the "Tencent Institute of Games" platform will be recognized as having understood and accepted the competition rules, requirements, process, evaluation standards, etc. As a result, if the loss is caused to Tencent or other third-party organizations because of participants' behaviors or works, the participants shall be responsible for all legal responsibilities and compensation independently.
(2) If Tencent requires the participants to provide any proof of rights related to the copyright of the submitted work, the participant shall provide relevant proof strictly in accordance with the relevant requirements, otherwise, Tencent has the right to cancel its qualification at any time.
(3) Tencent reserves the right to interpret the rules of activities as permitted by law.
(4) The intellectual property rights of all works submitted by Participants are owned by the participants. If any cultural IP provided by the cooperation history museum is incorporated in such works, the intellectual property rights will be jointly owned by the participants, the museum and Tencent. Tencent is entitled to use such works for the competitions and related activities. for the designated and authorized media release. for the awards ceremony, exhibitions or other related activities. Participants agreed that Tencent is entitled to use the work for free for public benefit. Before Tencent invests in incubation resources for excellent works and conducts commercial development, both participants and Tencent should agree and sign a written agreement.
6. Ensure the legality of the works
The content of the work is not allowed to include the following information, including but not limited to:
(1) Promote or encourage crime.
(2) Vulgar content.
(3) Excessive nudity, or sexual and sexual depiction.
(4) Violence or abuse against humans or animals, or other information that causes discomfort to others.
(5) Information that hinders adolescents' physical and mental health, such as encouraging minors to consume tobacco and alcohol.
(6) Insulting and defamatory to the state, social organizations or others.
(7) Incites ethnic hatred, ethnic discrimination, and undermines national unity.
(8) Undermine the country's religious policies and promote cults and feudal superstitions.
(9) Information prohibited by laws and regulations or harmful to the healthy development of society, such as promoting drunk driving, gambling, excessive drinking, drug abuse, suicide and self-harm, a description of illegal weapons, illegal drugs, etc.
